Terms of service

Plain terms for a plain service. Using this website means you accept what is written here. Last updated 22 July 2026.

About this service

Cremations of Dallas offers one service: a direct cremation in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Services are performed under the supervision of Carlos Vargas, a Texas Licensed Funeral Director holding TFSC License #119648. The full operator details appear in the legal notice at the foot of every page.

Pricing and what is included

Our published price is $1,750, all-inclusive, for a direct cremation with transfer anywhere within 50 miles of Dallas. What that figure covers is listed in full on the pricing page. Government pass-through charges — such as certified copies of the death certificate and any medical examiner release fee — are billed at cost with no markup, and you are told the amount before it is incurred.

Prices shown on this site are current as of the date above and may change. The price quoted to you at the time of arrangement is the price that applies to your arrangement.

Authorization to cremate

Cremation is permanent and cannot be undone, so Texas law is strict about who may authorize it. Under Texas Health and Safety Code § 711.002, the right to control disposition follows a set priority order. A cremation proceeds only after the person with that authority signs a written authorization, and after the statutory waiting period and all required permits are satisfied. Submitting the online form or making an inquiry does not by itself authorize a cremation.

Use of this website

The information on this site is provided to help you understand direct cremation and is not legal advice. We work to keep it accurate and current, but we do not warrant that every detail is free of error, and statutes and county procedures can change. For advice about your specific situation, speak with us directly or consult a qualified professional. Third-party services referenced here, such as the Texas Funeral Service Commission license lookup, are governed by their own terms, not ours.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. If we change them, we will update this page and the date at the top; the version shown here is the one in effect. Questions about these terms can go to carlos.vargas@mydallasfuneralhome.com or (214) 550-7369.
