The major receiving hospitals include Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Centennial near the Tollway, Texas Health Frisco, and Medical City Frisco. Each will hold your loved one until a provider you have named arrives, with no pressure to decide quickly.

Collin and Denton County paperwork
Most of Frisco is in Collin County, and a western slice reaches into Denton County. In either case the death certificate must be signed and filed with Texas Vital Statistics before the county issues the cremation permit, and the state 48-hour wait applies.
An unattended death on the Collin side is referred to the Collin County Medical Examiner in McKinney; on the Denton side it is handled by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner, which serves Denton under contract. Either way, we cannot collect your loved one until they release the body. Certified copies are $21 for the first and $4 for each additional, at cost.

We cover all of Frisco, from the Star and Frisco Square in the center to the growing neighborhoods out toward the Denton County line and up past the Sam Rayburn Tollway. The distance from Dallas is the same wherever you are in the city, and so is the price.
How long it takes, and what Collin County decides
The price does not change from one city to the next — direct cremation is $1,750 whether the transfer starts in Frisco or on our own street. What does change is the county. Collin County runs its own death-certificate counter and its own permit process, and it is the county that decides whether a death goes to a medical examiner or to a justice of the peace. That single fact is what moves a cremation timeline by days.
Everything else is fixed by state law rather than by us or by Collin County. Texas forbids a cremation earlier than 48 hours after death unless the wait is waived, and nothing can begin until the person with the legal right to control disposition has signed. Most families here see ashes returned within one to two weeks of the first call.
